M·A·C
Make-Up Art Cosmetics — commonly known as M·A·C—was created by makeup artist Frank Toscan and salon owner Frank Angelo when they became frustrated by the lack of products that photographed well and held up under hot lights for long hours in the studio. Their first M·A·C Pro Store opened in Toronto in 1982, quickly becoming a hub for makeup pros and celebrities to exchange tips and tricks and stock up on products (early fans included Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Linda Evangelista).
